Una bionda per papà
Frank Lambert, imprenditore divorziato con 3 figli e Carol Foster, estetista vedova, anch'ella con 3 figli, quasi senza nemmeno conoscersi, durante una vacanza in Giamaica decidono di sposarsi. Al loro ritorno a casa decidono di non far sapere nulla ai figli, ma di aspettare qualche mese in modo da dar loro il tempo di conoscersi. Sandy Duncan joined the cast as the boys' aunt, who moved in and became their surrogate mom. During the show's third season, the series was known as Valerie's Family: The Hogans, then simply as The Hogan Family.

The series never discussed nor addressed the then-current Vietnam War, instead focusing on the relationship between Gomer and Sergeant Carter. The show retained high ratings throughout its run.
